Place and verify it
- Open the affected store in the BizMan app and read its listed requirements. Use the exact fixture name it asks for: Bathroom Stall, Toilet, and Sink are separate items; do not assume one satisfies another.
- Place the stall inside the intended business. Keep its approach and doorway clear of shelves, queues, counters, and other furniture.
- For a customer-facing shop, put the restroom entrance off a customer-accessible area, not in a staff-only room or stockroom. A community restroom guide recommends this so customers do not have to cross inventory aisles; treat it as a layout tip and follow the live requirement for your business.
- Check the route from the customer or employee area to the fixture. If movement is blocked or BizMan still lists the requirement, clear the path or move the fixture, then reopen that store's requirements and check again. The developer specifically points players to the requirements listed for the store in BizMan when a required room or fixture is missing.
- Let the business operate and watch the relevant hygiene, satisfaction, or requirement signal. Do not treat a single NPC animation, a static room screenshot, or a specific number of bathroom visits as proof of a score increase.
- If it still appears unused, confirm the business assignment, exact item, clear access, and current requirement state before buying more fixtures.
Build 3680 fixed an issue where NPCs in a building could all use the bathroom at once after time-skipping. That patch note describes an NPC behavior fix; it does not establish a universal stall count or a fixed happiness bonus. Place only what your business requirement and operating signals call for.
